About the role 

We are currently seeking a Regional Manager to lead our Queenstown team based out of Cromwell. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring efficient and effective functioning of the team, and driving business growth in the Otago and Lower South Island region.  The current operations include commercial electrical and street lighting contracts for clients across the region.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Provide strong leadership to the branch team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the branch, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures including the Health & Safety at Work Act 2015.
  • Develop relationships with key industry players, identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth.
  • Provide strong health and safety leadership and implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitor and manage branch budget, expenses, and financial performance.
  • Provide career guidance, performance feedback and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

To be considered you need to be able to demonstrate:

  • Qualifications in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in the electrical industry.
  • Knowledge of electrical products, systems, and industry trends.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • A track record of successful business development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant business software.
