McKay are searching for a motivated Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team based in the Auckland, Penrose office. The role will require occasional travel to other McKay Group locations to foster strong working relationships with operational staff.

As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to McKay’s business units. You will work closely with managers to meet financial obligations, enhance decision-making, and build financial capability across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Partner with leaders to deliver meaningful financial insights and analysis.
  • Lead and coordinate budgeting and forecasting cycles across business areas, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Partner with the operational business to deliver the month end process timely and accurately.
  • Produce accurate management reporting, including variance analysis and insightful commentary to support leadership decision-making.
  • Ensure data integrity while driving continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and reporting tools.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:

  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, with CA or CPA certification.
  • 5+ years’ experience in management accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or finance business partnering.
  • Financial modelling and analytical skills, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across all levels and build trusted relationships.
