Electrician
McKay Tauranga are recruiting for an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our Bay of Plenty team. As an Electrician in our team, you will be involved with a range of Heavy industrial projects and streetlighting maintenance.
Based in Tauranga, you will work across a variety of key infrastructure projects throughout the BOP. One day you could be contributing to infrastructure developments, the next supporting essential streetlighting services that help keep local communities connected and safe.

What you will bring:
- A current EWRB Electrical Registration and NZ Practicing Licence
- 3-5+ years' experience working in an industrial or streetlighting environment
- Ability to work confidently unsupervised
- A proactive, self-starting approach
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Commitment to health and safety
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and commissioning of streetlighting systems
- Fault finding and troubleshooting on pumps, motors, control systems and instrumentation
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with New Zealand standards
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, clients and the wider McKay Tauranga operational team
