McKay is engaged in several electrical construction projects within the Northland region.  With project durations ranging upwards of six months, we are looking for permanent employees to join us. As a leading expert in various electrical works, we attribute our success to our problem-solving abilities, extensive industry knowledge, and the firm belief that exceptional customer service is key to client satisfaction. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to become part of our McKay Northland Projects team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing electrical projects
  • Ensuring adherence to high standards of health, safety, and quality
  • Leading and overseeing a project team, including planning, quality control, safety, and supervisory aspects
  • Handling budgets, claims, variations, production control, and progress reporting
  • Managing client relationships
  • Estimation 

What you’ll bring:

  • Solid understanding of the electrical industry complemented by robust project management experience.
  • A proven track record of understanding and managing budgets, establishing operational controls, and reporting on production, budgets, and risks.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to manage high-pressure situations and lead teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with our clients' project management teams and report efficiently to McKay's line management.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring that planning, execution, quality, and safety meet the highest standards.
  • A strong background in health and safety.
