About the role:
We are searching for an experienced Mechanical Technician Maintenance and Fabrication (Day Worker) to join our McKay Team based in the OJI Kinleith Site in Tokoroa. The purpose of this position is to participate in machinery maintenance (Routine and Corrective) machinery condition monitoring and reporting to meet required standards to optimize overall equipment efficiency.
To be considered you will need to hold the following: -
- NZ Cert Mechanical Engineering Trade / Level 4, Maintenance Engineering or, Fitting and Machining strand. Or equivalent.
OR
- Apprenticed in Mechanical or Allied trade, unqualified. Extensive Relevant Industry and machinery experience. Or equivalent.
In addition, we are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
- 3 years + experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Familiarity and understanding of digital alignment tools, diagnostic and configuration devices and systems is desirable.
- Can perform alignment including complex alignment on rotating equipment, in a range of equipment configurations.
- Strong computer (MS Office applications), written and verbal communication skills
- A solution-focused attitude
These are permanent full-time (40 hours per week) positions. Any additional hours worked over above your contracted hours, will be paid at overtime rates.
