Mechanical Technician Maintenance (Shift Worker)
About the role:
We are searching for an experienced Mechanical Technician Maintenance (Shift Worker) to join our McKay Team based in the OJI Tasman Site in Kawerau. The purpose of this position is to participate in machinery maintenance (Routine and Corrective), machinery condition monitoring and reporting, to best practice standards.
To improve overall equipment efficiency and ensure machinery maintenance activities are carried out to directed specifications and standards. Improve asset data quality (SAP) and PM and SOP document improvement recommendations
To be considered you will need to hold the following: -
- NZ Cert Mechanical Engineering Trade / Level 4, Maintenance Engineering or, Fitting and Machining strand. Or equivalent.
OR
- Apprenticed in Mechanical or Allied trade, unqualified. Extensive Relevant Industry and machinery experience. Or equivalent.
In addition, we are looking for candidates with the following attributes:
- 3 years + experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Familiarity and understanding of digital alignment tools, diagnostic and configuration devices and systems is desirable.
- Can perform alignment including complex alignment on rotating equipment, in a range of equipment configurations.
- Strong computer (MS Office applications), written and verbal communication skills
- A solution-focused attitude
These are permanent full-time (40 hours per week) positions. Any additional hours worked over above your contracted hours, will be paid at overtime rates.
